This weekend......

Friday involved us going to the Farm with a friend and her 3 year old son. I really like going out with Lisa and Jacob, and the Farm is the best place on earth! You get to hold rabbits and guinea pigs and piglets and loads of other things!

Jacob was diagnosed with Autism last week, which just breaks my heart. he is the sweetest little boy I know and Lisa is one of the best mothers I have ever met.

It helped me to put things into perspective. Ho hum...........

Anyway, Saturday we had a family day out. We went shopping in Knaresborough and had a fabby time. Also got to go to Matalan's and redo all of Ollie's wardrobe for £30!!! BARGAIN!

Today has been a nice relaxing day. Although my best mate Bex had pulled a blinder that I'm not sure I can forgive her for! Every Sunday afternoon we go to their house or they come here. We have done that since we met at our Anti natal classes. Timmy and Ollie were born in the room next door to each other and they genuinly adore each other - always have and they play so nicely together. I am godmother to Bex's second son Max, who is one of the cheekiest little baby I have ever met! He is fantastic and he's only 1 and a half - cannot wait until he's 5!!! Anyway, she sent me a text this morning to say unfortunately we couldn't meet up today but she wouldn't tell me why - so I eventually got it out of her.

They were picking up their 12 week old Brichon Frise - OMG!!! We have just managed to convince my 4 year old that you are not allowed to have puppies until you are 10 years old. He has accepted this and has said he will wait until he is old enough. Now his best friend, who is also 4, has got one! He doesn't know yet - can't wait for next Sunday now!

Well, till next time - take care and try and put your 'things' into perspective too. One day with Jacob would help............

Update

I've been having a nice time lately. Went out for a meal with my new team last night which was good. Second week of neighbours holiday so no hassle there and the builders are so determined to finish this job quickly!!! Family issues but nothing that can't be sorted (with a big stick).

Some friends are not so happy and that makes me sad ;o( There feels alot of tension around at the moment too so the sooner this heatwave breaks the better! Lots of arguements going on too, which is never a good thing. Witnessed a corker today at work - just glad I wasn't involved!!!!

Ollie has been referred to a Specialist Speech Therapist rather than the 'bog standard' one that we see already. I have to keep a diary now - so will have to remember to write it!! We have to monitor 10 mins everyday at different situations to see what happens........

Well if you are sad I hope you find your smile, if you are angry I hope you sort things out and if you are happy I hope it stays!!!

Rachel's challenge

My favourite word is 'squidgy'. Be it squidgy hug, squidgy kiss etc etc.

My Ollie is affectionately known as Squidgy Bum!! At four years old it is cute (as is his bum!!) but I must remember not to call him it when he is 16 years old with all his mates round!!! Or maybe I should as that is what mother's do..............;o)

It's been a while....!

Well, I thought I would give you all a break from my moaning to give me time to put things into perspective - and its worked!!

What has happened since last time?

The gas board advised us that our pipe went under 'his' drive and the only way to move our stuff was to dig up his drive!!! OMG!! So the nice gas man rang hubby and mentioned what an absolute XXXX this man was and was there anything he could do to help. I think the fact that he said 'don't worry, I'll refuse to like what you've done and order them to pay for a new drive for me'!! So our builder came up with a cunning plan to stop the build and go through our side. It means we don't have any gas but the only thing we use gas for is the heating - which I don't think we need at the moment!! So we did that and he was absolutley GUTTED!!

Then the builder asked if he would mind if we put some scaffolding on his drive. He said no, as long as the builder did some jobs for him. Now I've seen the list of these things and they were outrageous!! So the builder said not to bother and again his face was a picture. He then said, well they didn't put the notice of the start of work into writing so I'm going to stop the work for 31 days. The Planning and Enforcement Office have told us that they will not stop the build cos they like us and hate him and our solicitor has said to carry on - so that's what we're doing and we'll see him in court!! They're on holiday at the moment so lovely peace and quiet! As I say everyday, thank god we're not attached to him - can you imagine?!

The other bombshell is an adored loved one has been told the IVF hasn't worked and won't do. She needs to have eggs implanted. Now she is on the waiting list that is 12 months - UNLESS she can get me to donate some and she goes to the top of the list!! Thing is, maybe I want another one at some point and I have had to decide which one to do - the hardest decision I think I have ever had to make. A very good friend helped me through the darkest times and now I think I know the right thing to do..............I think so anyway!!

Good news today - got back in touch with Jo. She was a very good friend and I loved her hubby too. We all used to work together and it was fab. We had a big misunderstanding when baba was born and haven't really spoken since. All kissed and made up today and agreed we were both a 'pair of prats'!!

Quite hot here today!! I hate this weather - love Autumn passionately!!

Well there you go. Kathy said blogging was for letting it all out and I have!!

Oooooh forgot to say have nearly finished the nursery girls leaving pressies. I just have one more to make, I'm going to alter a notice thingy but I have seen Sue's and Lythan's and am not sure mine could ever look that good!! But I'll let you see it!

(Once I figure out how to put piccies on!).

One more thing, I was asked to make a jewellery set for a 21st birthday last week. She got given it yesterday and cried when she opened it - how cool do I feel?!!!

See y'all soon!

What a day!!

School went very well, they said he was quiet but joined in and seemed to have fun. Then we went to go to the Wiggles. Bus was late. Went via Bradford to Manchester - very long way round! Got to Manchester, got lost and we managed to see the last 20 mins of the concert ;o(

The kids were ok cos the 20 mins was fantastic but we all knew they should've been there for an hour and 10 mins instead! So 5 hours on a coach with no air conditioning, for 20 mins and the driver never even apologised!

Sorry all I ever seem to blog is moans!

Nite nite all!

Kathy's challenge

I've been thinking about this one (songs that make you go Ahhhh) and I'm having trouble!!

My all time favourite cd is Goodbye Yellow Brick Road Elton John. Harmony and Roy Rodgers are my fav on there. Then you have the fun summer ones - Walking on Sunshine, Layla, any Beach Boys! etc etc.

Then you have the ones that have special memories for you - Groovy Kind of Love, Spirit in the Sky, Almaz, etc etc.

Then you have the ones where you turn up the volume, Fighter - Christina, Red Hot Chillis, Pump It - Black Eyed Peas.....

Oh I don't know - I can't answer this challenge Kathy - sorry!! Too many songs make me go ahhh!

well......

The extension saga continues but I won't go on about it cos apparently its getting a bit boring!! Ain't friends great!!

Not much to update you on apart from me and Ollie's fabby day tomorrow. In the morning Ollie is going to his primary school for two hours. He seems a bit nervous but is being very brave! Then in the afternoon we are going to Manchester on a works trip to see the Wiggles in concert.

To say I am excited is an understatement! For those without a clue of who I am talking about - the Wiggles are 4 Australian blokes (very camp) who sing and dance and are fantastic!! Three of us going are Execs and we have been warned photos will be taken if we get up and dance - sod them, I'm going to dance and sing like never before!

Oh one more thing. In the last few days my friends on Carolyn's have really cheered me up. I got a parcel from Kathy with loads of ace prima flowers, Bex sent me some fabby teddies which she chalked up for me ready to use and Lucy sent me some beads cos I missed out on the sale she was doing - ain't they wonderful? Made me really happy and I need that at the moment!!
